A senior practitioner with a career spanning more than 50 years at the Bar. He completed his LL.B. from Aligarh Muslim University in 1976 and was enrolled as an Advocate in 1980.
He has served as Additional Central Government Standing Counsel for the Union of India before the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir for two consecutive terms, and as Standing Counsel for Srinagar Municipality and J&K Cements Corporation.
Over the course of his distinguished legal career, he has earned an exceptional reputation for his vast experience, professional integrity, and deep understanding of civil, constitutional, banking, and service litigation. He has also handled various Court Martial matters pertaining to the Indian Army.
He has represented several leading nationalised banks as Standing Counsel, including State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, UCO Bank, Central Bank of India, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Oriental Bank of Commerce, and Allahabad Bank.
Widely regarded for his command over legal practice and decades of courtroom experience, Mushtaq Ahmad Pandit continues to be recognised as one of the senior and respected members of the legal fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir.
